Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Our guidelines for ensuring a secure, high-performance, and legal infrastructure environment for all GlobeTier users.

1. Scope and General Principles

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) applies to all clients utilizing the infrastructure and digital services provided by GlobeTier Infrastructure Solutions (“GlobeTier”). This includes web hosting, virtual private servers (VPS), dedicated servers, and cloud solutions.

GlobeTier services must be used for lawful, ethical, and legitimate purposes only. By using our network, you agree to comply with international laws and the regulations of the jurisdictions in which we operate (**USA, UK, Chile, and Egypt**). Any violation of this Policy is considered a material breach of our Terms of Service.

This Policy covers all users accessing GlobeTier services, including resellers and their sub-clients. Resellers are directly responsible for ensuring their clients adhere to these standards.

2. Prohibited Content and Activities

The hosting, distribution, or promotion of the following content is strictly prohibited:

  • Illegal Acts: Fraud, money laundering, unauthorized trade, or any activity violating international law.
  • Security Threats: Distribution of malware, ransomware, phishing kits, or hosting Command & Control (C2) servers.
  • IP Infringement: Unauthorized distribution of copyrighted material (pirated software, media, or unlicensed digital goods).
  • Harmful Content: Hate speech, promotion of violence, or any form of illegal adult content.
  • Resource Misuse: Shared hosting accounts may not be used for general file storage, backups, or massive file distribution (e.g., MP3/ISO archives) that are not integral to a functioning website.
  • Prohibited Services: Hosting of public VPNs, open proxies, torrent trackers, or crypto-mining scripts without explicit written consent.

3. Technical Limits and Fair Usage

To maintain stability across our global nodes, the following technical constraints apply:

  • Purpose: Shared accounts are for website hosting only. Dedicated backup/storage space should be purchased separately.
  • File Size: Maximum individual file size on shared hosting is 500 MB. Larger files may be removed if they impact performance.
  • Inode Limits: Users must stay within the specified Inode (file count) limits of their respective plans.
  • Automation (Cron): A maximum of one cron job every 20 minutes is permitted per account to prevent CPU spikes.
  • Resource Usage: Sustained CPU/RAM usage exceeding 35% on shared environments may result in automated throttling or suspension.

4. Email and Anti-Spam Standards

Our mail infrastructure is for standard business communication only.

  • Zero-Tolerance Spam: Sending unsolicited bulk email (SPAM) is strictly forbidden. Confirmed violations will lead to immediate account termination without a refund.
  • Mailing Lists: Large-scale newsletters or marketing campaigns must be handled via third-party providers (e.g., Mailchimp) to protect IP reputation.
  • Spoofing: Impersonating other entities or using deceptive "From" headers is prohibited.

5. Responsibility and Enforcement

Client Responsibility: You are responsible for securing your account credentials and ensuring all hosted scripts/CMS (like WordPress) are kept up to date to prevent exploitation.

Right to Act: GlobeTier reserves the right to remove content, block access, or suspend services without prior notice if a critical violation is detected (e.g., active DDoS source or phishing host).

6. Consequences and Contact

Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent termination. In cases of severe abuse (Malware/Spam), no refunds will be issued.
